OK!Magazine issue 22nd October 2007 The Bones star talks Phillies, football and fantasy (sports teams, that is) at Busby's East in L.A. David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel have some of
the most sizzling chemistry on TV in Bones - but they've never even shared a kiss.
In the new season , though, David promises that this could change! OK!sat
down with David and his producer/director friend David Semel - they met whil working
on Buffy the Vampire Slayer - at Busby's East in Los Angels.
Why are we at a sports bar ? I love sports bars. I love the camaraderie of them, that everyone's getting together to watch a game. And I do tend to stumble instead of walk out. Who are you favorite teams ? I'm a big Philadelphia fan; I love anything to do with the Eagles, the Flyers, the 76ers, the Phillies. How often do you go out with David Semel ? As much as we can. He's from Chicago and I'm from Philadelpia, [so] we have an ingrown connection to the blue-collar team...that almost-made-it-and-didn't-make-it. We own two fantasy-football leagues. What's new on Bones ? Bones and Booth are going to therapy in order to find out how to deal with each other in the workplace. It's going to be a really character-driven season with a little bit more romance. Our relationship will always have that conflict and that Moonlighting-style biting back-and-forth. What do you do for fun with your wife and son? We travel. A lot of mountain biking. We love doing anything outside. Jaden is a big, enthusiastic spirit. What's our chemistry with your wife like ? It's a very strong connection. There's ups, there's downs, there's conflict, and there's good times and bad times. I think it's through the bad times that you realize the warmth, the excitement, the love, the energy, the humor, the bond that the two of you have.
She's one of the guys. She can go with the
best of them at the bar, tot-to-toe. If I'm watching games at home, she's got
the 12-layer dip goin on the in the background. Interview
